How to keep pace and master Product Management in an over 100-year-old organisation

Sabrina Rzepka

BMW @ Lead Product Owner

Picture a digital Product Manager transitioning from lived agility to an over 100-year-old traditional organization: it´s like pulling the handbrake on a highway. Manufacturing vehicles over a century with the aspiration to deliver perfection, requires precision and established work flows. Yet the rapid change of mobility needs requires adaptation to gain momentum and stay ahead. Welcome to the biggest transformation in the automotive history! As Product Manager operating between the core of vehicle manufacturing and new digital user experiences, you are riding on an off-road trail. Overcoming daily struggles when you´re not born into a corporate group, requires humbleness and out-of-the-box approaches to achieve your goals. Sabrina shares her story about how she tackled the challenges of three Product Management cornerstones in a corporate organization: customer centricity, stakeholder management and leveraging technologies.
