Why agile is for everybody, and why everybody hates agile

Matt LeMay

Sudden Compass @ Co-founder

If Agile software development is the de facto standard for how modern organizations build products... why do so many people hate it? In this talk, Agile for Everybody author Matt LeMay dives into some of the common anti-patterns that have turned a 68-word statement of values into an ever-widening gyre of misaligned expectations, broken promises, and indecipherable flow charts--and what we can do about it.

Matt will share:

  • The single most dangerous misconception about Agile (hint: it involves the word 'velocity')
  • Why this misconception often puts product managers in an impossible position
  • How to talk about Agile in a way that will not make people hate you (probably)
  • Actionable steps for easily putting Agile principles into practice
